When I finally landed in Houston from New York, I decided to catch the local bus into town instead of taking the shuttle bus or catching a cab.
Luckily I had a lot of time to spare.
It isn’t really clear where the bus stop is but after asking a lady siting behind a desk I was quickly given directions.
I was the first to arrive at the bus stop and the bus which was due in 2 mins never turned up so I had to wait for the next one.
The next bus traveler to arrive and wait with me was an older Asian man. While he walked across the carpark towards me, where I was siting on the bench under the shelter, he rolled his suitcase under the shelter, then stepped back from the suitcase. I wasn’t sure what he was doing at first, I thought maybe he was checking the bus stop sign but what he then did made me furious.
He took out his mobile and focused it on me and took a photo. I heard his phone click and everything.
Then as he waited he kept looking over to me. I started to feel a bit anxious so I took a photo of him and posted him up on my Facebook, alerting my friends that if I go missing, it could be because of this man.
Eventually the bus arrived and with over an hour of travel I arrived to the hotel to meet my Gambit.
Would I catch the 102 again?
Only during the day, if what had happened happened at night, I would’ve caught a cab.
Even if the bus cost $1.25.
