Gambit is currently in Houston for work and while I am still unemployed I decided to go visit him half way through his job.
I used skyscanner.com and kayak.com to find the best flight prices and I ended up booking a Wednesday flight out and a Monday flight back in to LaGuardia.
Getting to Laguardia, is it a pain?
I didn’t think so.
Gambit told me that some cabs refused to take him that way but I took public transport.
I had considered catching the SuperShuttle but was put off after reading so many bad reviews about it before booking.
Instead I caught the E train and then the Q70 bus.
My flight wasn’t until 8:45am but as I wasn’t certain of where I left early and caught the 6:55am train.
I got to the airport around 8am and as soon I finished clearing security I was able to board.
Would I catch the train and bus again?
Definitely if I had only little luggage as I’m not a big fan of having to pull large suitcases upstairs and hogging up the train with it.
For $2.50 and knowing you’ll get there within a certain time is pretty good.
Especially compared to a cab which can be $50+
